Announcing Coming Stock
As our new website for Magnetic Transport Surplus is preparing its launch, here is a little Tutorial on how to announce Coming Stock in a Post that leads to the Salespage.
Our example is the new arrival of a 1990 Freightliner – inserted in the Vehicle section – as we can see on the website here:
Announcing Coming Stock
People knowing the Magnetic Transport Surplus website will keep an eye on coming stock if they are looking for something specific. In other words, they will automatically click on the website and look for the product under the relating category – say the 1990 Freightliner under US Trucks – and find what they want… and follow through from there.
But how do people who do not (yet) know Magnetic Transport know when they are announcing coming stock or any other product for that matter?
There are two ways: either they find this on a Google Ad – which will turn out to be quite costly for Magnetic Transport over time. Or they see Magnetic Transport announcing this product as ‘coming stock’ on a post on Google, Google Top 10 to be precise – meaning where people are searching under the relating keyword or keyword string. Nobody has time to look beyond page 1 – do you?
Ergo, we have to show our message on page 1 on Google! We need a dynamic blog post that Google picks up with its hungry search engine spyders that crawl all the time over the net and jump on any new content. Blog posts are new content – so that’s why we need blog posts – regularly and consistently.
So we need a post – or even several posts – that direct these visitors to what we have to announce in terms of New Arrivals, in our case the 1990 Freightliner.
Our goal is to attract visitors looking for exactly that on Google: a 1990 Freightliner, our coming stock.
How do we do this as admin in our Dashboard?
Here are a few Tips – take time to go through each step carefully to undertand it. Practice will help you do it in your sleep – and even from your iphone!
1. You insert the details into your editor, selecting the right category and adding the corresponding tags. Keep it short and targeted – or add as much information relating to the vehicle as you like, giving readers a maximum of input.
2. Most importantly, you want to add a good, clear photo of the coming stock – ideally the same you show in big on the Vehicle front (besides the other views, see top image here).
3. When you call up the image editor, make sure you add the description of the product and your company here too and add it as “Featured Image”. You can position the picture by clicking on the Advanced Settings. Experiment to find what you like or check on my various examples I prepared for you in your blog section already as part of my Semiomantics Web Design Service – and do the same.
You can open each image in a blog post by clicking on it, top left corner. Caution: don’t delete it!
4. So now you have your post with an image embedded; it shows beautifully once someone clicks on News on the top menu (navigation bar) and under the drop-down New Arrivals. First a visitor sees the whole list of coming stock. He will select what is of interest and then click on “Read More” to get the bigger picture and – this is the important part – the direct link to the Vehicle Salespage! See below – “HERE”.
How do you create a link from your dynamic Blog post to your Vehicle Salespage – as that’s where you want your visitors to go?
How to Hyperlink any Word in a Post
Easy, you now hyperlink any word in a Post where you wish people to click – by first highlighting the whole word you chose (eg. ‘HERE’) and then clicking on the hyperlink tab in the editor, see red arrow below:
In the popup that appears within the dark overlay, insert the URL (link) to the exact page you wish people to go to, add a title, choose how you wish it to open by selecting the tickbox below (or not) and click on “Add Link”. Then go and test it. Make sure you open that link first in a browser – and copy it in the browser to insert it here. It must be absolutely correct! So just copy/paste! It’s always: copy/paste!
Let’s do an example:
If I wish you to go to my Web Design Showcase, I would hyperlink for instance the word ‘SHOWCASE’ as I explained above and you should be able to go straight there by clicking on SHOWCASE (just do it here). You also see that it is underlined now and changed the color, indicating the Link. You see the same on the sample pictures above (“HERE” is the hyperlink and on this website it appears in red for visitors to spot it easily).
Now that you know how to hyperlink in a post, you can easily direct your readers and visitors anywhere you want them to go to find what they are looking for, giving them the best information and service and an easy way to reach you to get the best deal on the Salespage.
Google Top 10 and Semiomantics
From the above it is clear that where you need to be visible with whatever you offer is on Google Top 10 – meaning on the first page of Google under your specific keyword/s – as there are only 10 spots for websites on this page and obviously everybody fights for it. As your blog posts offer dynamic content and you are powered by Semiomantics SEO, it is now absolutely in your hands to get to wherever you want – and stay there. Just as the ‘big boyz’ do.
Go Magnetic! It’s just a matter of doing it! Daily, every day – until!
